More than seven decades and many successful ventures later, Roy’s son, Court and his wife, Karen, and Court’s sons, Casey and Adam, now run operations that include Inn at 835, Obed &; Isaac’s Microbrewery &; Eatery, Wm. Van’s Coffee House, and Merchant House. The Hoogland Center for the Arts was established in 2003 to provide a creative environment for people of all ages to participate in the arts.
The Center is home to 22 different resident organizations, comprised of performing and visual arts groups, civic clubs, and private businesses. These resident groups entertain thousands of visitors every month with a variety of concerts, plays, musicals, recitals, and gallery showings. The Hoogland also hosts meetings, classes, parties, dinners, and weddings.

The building is also a training ground for young artists, with educational opportunities for youth provided by several of our resident arts organizations.
